Our minds are totally blown. Actor Luke MacFarlane, who plays gay on Brothers and Sisters, came out as a living, breathing homosexual!
While people have been gossiping about his bedroom antics for years, MacFarlane didn’t feel ready until now – when he’s a regular on a hit television drama.
I don’t know what will happen professionally … that is the fear, but I guess I can’t really be concerned about what will happen, because it’s my truth. … There is this desire in L.A. to wonder who you are and what’s been blaring for me for the last three years is how can I be most authentic to myself – so this is the first time I am speaking about it in this way.
MacFarlane’s revelation should come as no surprise. He’s previously been seen trotting about with fellow ABC actor, TR Knight. Not to mention his drive-by with Wentworth Miller…
During the course of his interview, MacFarlane also discusses his television character’s forthcoming gay marriage – and it’s cultural importance:
Most importantly, in portraying gay people, the more we realize it’s just like portraying anybody else and, gay marriage, it’s not about two people being gay, it’s about two people who love each other and who have decided to commit to each other for the exact same reasons any other couple would get married. Hopefully, the more that becomes part of the cultural awareness it won’t be…
And it makes for great ratings!

The guy is hot. His role on Brothers and Sisters portrays him as a little daffy but totally adorable. He comes across as just a really nice guy. Whether he hooks up with TR Knight, some other actor or the neighborhood lawn guy, I wish him nothing but happiness and success. The unfortunate thing is, now whenever he is seen with an attractive male (ie Wentworth Miller), the “rumors of romance” will fly. That’s sad. I wonder how many of his peers in the biz will avoid him now for fear of guilt by association?
MacFarlane is one of those guys who is so gay acting that he can’t even be in the closet. Did he really have to come out? It was a given.

I knew he was gay the minute I saw him on the only episode of B&S I ever watched. Cute as hell and Ontarian! Okay then.
Yeah, no shocker there. I think we all knew this months if not years ago. Still, it’s good to know that such an unbelievably gorgeous man likes the taste of dick.
