Well obviously they meant he “wiskered”… oh, wait, that also would be missing the “H”. Well, you know the new Lexus Hybrid vehicle commercial has an explanation for missing “H’s” all over the world.

I would think the reaction would be more like “Jesus H Crist!”

Is that a typo in the very first line (eleven words in) of the post? But I guess only one person saw it before posting, not three. :)

If PlanetOut even wonders why they are going under, this should answer why. They can’t even get their own advertising right in their own magazine.

      “Hi, is that Pot?”
      “Yes.”
“Hey! This is Kettle. I just wanted to say, you’re black.”
      “Uh, thanks.”

How do you spell Boy Wisperer?

How do you spell inferior editor (er)?

with all their layoffs, they probably don’t have enough eyeballs to catch these very easy mistakes. beware the undertoe planetout staffers!

This blog is mocking the typos of another publication? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I stopped reading Queerty for a long stretch because I could no longer tolerate the mistakes and bad writing. Towleroad’s much better.

Whats that saying about the ‘loudest person in the room is usually the one who knows the least…’
or something to that effect anyway. I think it might apply to this post as well as some of the people commenting on it.

I say its poor editing by Mr. Belownsky to even include a story like this however maybe Mr. Hauslaib should focus on producing ONE good blog as oppose to starting up as many mediocre ones as he can then perhaps they could hire a second set of eyes to catch Andrew’s mistakes. Since we all do make them on a daily basis.

Quality over quantity everyone, just a thought…

Why single out Planetout? Half the people working in media today are grammatically illiterate, and the other half are functionally illiterate.

first off, the guy in the ad obviously wasn’t taken home the night before based off his BRAINS.

second… david: you are confusing mediums. advertising in print production goes through many levels of checks and balances, not only with the company doing the advertising (gay.com), but also with the periodical running it (Out mag).

Queerty, on the other hand, is more of a blog – giving information, news, opinion, and sexually graphic judgments on the fly… as it happens. and like real news organizations (and even worse – close captioning), not everything is perfect 100% of the time because there is a larger human element involved…

in case you haven’t heard… humans, as it happens, are not perfect.

In the post, http://www.queerty.com/jp-cald.....-20080213/ , you forgot who the subject of the story is.

His name is “JP,” not “JC,” as you put in the first line. How many copy editors saw that one before it was posted?

well, did anyone catch the lack of quotation marks?

after googling it, i say it should be written as, “he whispered, “good morning.”"
