Gay-Panic Defense Fails Gay Bar Owner’s Bi-Curious Murderer

Louis Duffy, 20, has been convicted of of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession for the shooting murder of 53-year-old Clinton Lewis, the owner of Elmira, NY, gay bar Club Chil.

Duffy’s defense? That sex with Lewis gave him an emotional flashback to when his grandfather used to molest him as a school kid. It probably didn’t help that while he was awaiting trial he wrote to a woman that he’d lie in court to get out of jail sooner. He also told her not to believe all the gay stuff she’d hear about him in trial. Uh-huh.

Jurors didn’t buy his defense and now the bi-curious murderer faces 25 years to life in prison—all the more time for him to score some female pen pals.

@Jeff: Since it’s Friday night, I guess you might be drunk or something. Try reading the linked article and you’ll see that he let the bar owner kiss him and then have sex. The killer is not the most articulate, but he said he had “homosexual tendencies.”
