Madge clearly doesn’t give a crap about her albums. If it weren’t for the legions of talented re-mixers and gay fans her albums would have tanked years ago. Can anyone listen to her not re-mixed into a dance song? Miss Thing makes all her money touring, she’ll be singing “Like a Virgin†when she’s 70.

Madonna has always cared about her music, which is why it continues to strike a chord with fans all over the world. Remixes have nothing to do with it. I’m also getting a little fed up with the constant derision of her “gay fans”, as if they all love her in mass (they don’t), and adore everything she does (they don’t). Btw, as hard as it is to imagine she does have a sizable non gay fanbase, as anyone who has actually attended one of her sold out tours can attest.
As far as this deal goes, I think it’s great for her (obviously). The music industry is dying, and she has singlehandly caused a seismic shift with this deal.
