Madge's Adoption Drama Continues

Madge's baby drama gets a new chapter today after UK officials barred a Malawian official from traveling to the American singer's adopted home, London. The American singer has been grappling with legal loopholes since she first took baby David Banda last October, when many accused her of a colonial kidnapping and duping David's father into giving him up. Despite the scandals, Madonna received 18-month interim custody.

The process came to a grinding halt this weekend after minister of women and child development, Kate Kainja discovered Madonna purchased social worker Penstone Kilembe plane tickets to London. Kilembe, however, did not get official permission for the suspicious buys. Said Kainja,

We have already contacted Madonna that someone else, and not Kilembe, will come to assess her, because we feel Mr. Kilembe personalized the whole issue when other people can go.

Now, poor Madge and baby David hang in legal limbo. London-based lawyer Justin Dzonzi, who has been fighting Madge's adoption, says Kilembe dismissal could bring the entire process to its knees, "The court will not listen to anyone else apart from the one it appointed." Oh, please, Dzonzi! You know as well as we do: there's no stopping Madonna. That bitch can cut through tanks, planes and bureaucratic red tape like whoa.
