Madonna And Gaga Hug It Out At The Met Ball, But Will The Truce Last?

1238864814358783589We never thought we’d live to see the day. Madonna fans and Little Monsters can lay down their weapons because it appears the two singers have finally — finally! — put their petty differences aside. At least for the time being.

Madonna posted a photo of herself sandwiched between Katy Perry and Lady Gaga to her Instagram account. The image was captioned: “Girls night out………. Kissing the Ring……..Finally! #metball.”

(BTW, did you know Queerty is on Instagram? Follow us!)

The “Living for Love” singer looked genuinely happy in the photo. Gaga, on the other hand, looks more like she’s grinning and bearing it. Which begs the question: How long with this supposed truce last?

The pop stars have a long history of making jabs at one another in the press, with Gaga insulting Madonna’s age, and Madge calling Gaga’s music “reductive.” (What does that mean? Look it up!) Then there was the whole collaboration that never happened because, according to the Material Mom, Gagz turned her down, and the time Mother Monster’s fans accused Madge of being responsible for AIDS, which was just weird. The feud seemed to be never-ending.

We’re glad these two were able to hug it out over the weekend. Here’s hoping they can stay on each other’s good sides long enough to record a single together.
