The National Front, France’s far-right wing political party, announced on Sunday that it planned to sue Madonna after she showed a video at a concert in Paris depicting leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead.
Wow, you’d think a party that called Nazi gas chambers “a point of detail” in WWII would be able to take a little teasing.
Madge has screened the clip before and the Front National had threatened to take action if she played it France, which she did at the Stade de France on Saturday. In it, party leader Marine Le Pen’s face was seen in montage, followed by Madonna’s with a Hitler mustache.
Since its founding in 1972, the Front has spewed racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-Semetic and AIDS-phobic rhetoric, though Le Pen, who inherited control from her father, Jean-Marie, has tried to bring the party more into the mainstream.

I know this is the equivalent of an entertainment industry fluff piece, but… please, the word is “Semitic”, with two “I”s. The root of the word is “Semite”, not “semete”.
