Maggie Gallagher Endorses, Gets All Wet For Rick Santorum

What moved me most are the words Rick Santorum used to ‘connect the dots’—to explain why support for marriage, for life, and for an economy that provide the dignity of jobs to average Americans are not three separate things. They are bound together by principles—by American principles…

The left, which thought it had buried Santorum years ago, is going after him with a hatred unmatched. They hate him with that special ire reserved for a man’s virtues, not his vices.

They will go after him not just to defeat Rick Santorum, but to smear his good name, to associate it with their own muck, to take a decent and honorable man and try literally to make his name mean mud. They will not succeed.

The American people, I promise you, are not going to reject a man they would otherwise support because he believes in traditional Christian views of sex and marriage. Especially when he believes—not just with his words, and not just with his vote, but with every action of his soul and his life—that a man’s job is to support his children, born and unborn, to commit a loving and faithful marriage to one woman, and to devote himself to being a good dad.

That’s Rick Santorum.

—Out-of-wedlock mom and former National Organization for Marriage chairperson Maggie Gallagher, endorsing GOP candidate Rick Santorum for president.

Is the endorsement of this creature really something that anyone would see as a positive? Even His Frothyness?

That’s funny! I didn’t know we hated him with an ire reserved for virtue. I thought we disliked him for being a nasty lying homophobe…

Wow, Maggie, you really changed my perspective, I’m giving up the gay “lifestyle” so that I, too, can bring the joy and happiness you bring others, except the gays…and the muslims.

      Amen.

To smear his good name? Well I try and NOT smear santorum, because that makes santorum even harder to clean up.

Maggie seems not to know how to use Google, or if she does, seems not to know how to read. “Santorum” does not literally mean “mud”, dearie.

It is, of course, the duty of every hetero man to duly support his wife and their own children — born and unborn — and stop relying on the tax dollars of us gay men to pay his way, adopt those children he abandons, and pay for the social services for the woman he divorces. It is also the Biblical duty of every women to obey her husband, stand quietly by his side, and say nary a word of political things, for it is an abomination. And every woman should take her husband’s name, and wear his ring — and keep themselves out of the lives of others of which she is absolutely clueless.

And of course it is the duty of every politician in this land to spread liberty, and not call for the lifelong incarceration of those other citizens which he does not like.

I’d say Maggie and Ricky have abandoned the American-Christian ideal — and he with the sin of pride, and her with gluttony, they have fully abdicated any roll in proclaiming what is moral, good, Christian and American. Other than that, they earn their living with harassing fellow citizens instead of being productive like the rest of us.

Of course this cow endorses Frothy. She probably gets wet just thinking about him, listening to him spew just as much hate as she does, only with (unfortunately) the potential to be in a position of power, to make all her dreams come true.

Statements like these are why NOM keeps losing in court. Do you notice that she claims that he explained something….but didn’t offer any details?

That is their tactic, they make these outlandish statements and pretend that the statement itself is the explanation. That is why the judges keep shooting them down.

I swan that woman has no neck; she is just huge everywhere – except her brain. Rick Santorum is one of the most vile, degenerate and foul human beings on earth and the more he is caught in his repellent beliefs, the more he doubles down instead of trying to see himself and his views for what he and they really are. Maggie’s endorsement should help nail his coffin lid down securely.

Maggie, I presume, is upset about Calvin Klein’s hot boyfriend, and undoubtedly thinks he should be straight, just as some of the comments on QUEERTY seem to be driven by a wish that Calvin’s boyfriend were single.

Rick Santorum’s “good” name does not require smearing.
      It is already sufficiently smeared.

Does she not realize that Dan Savage’s is the *good* definition of Santorum? “By-product of a good time” is certainly better than “Last name of a hateful, dumb, deceitful creep.”

A bit rich coming from a woman who had sex outside marriage, probably many times and had a baby as a result. What a hypocrite!

      The question is…

Does Maggie’s endorsement actually help Santorum? NOM is suffering hard right now, as is every other extremist right wing organization, in both dollars and political support because the moderates in the middle realize what crap it is. Santorum is best served using this endorsement to win the primary and then distancing himself as quickly as possible in the actual election. Problem is that Santorum can not distance himself from being a radical right wing zealot. He is not at all electable.

“…a man’s job is to support his children, born and unborn, to commit a loving and faithful marriage to one woman, and to devote himself to being a good dad.”

Finally! Maggie tacitly admits that it’s always been All About Maggie.

Because one man had the sense to choose not to marry her (while sadly lacking the sense not to choose to impregnate her) Maggie has dedicated her life to ensuring that no man can have any option other than heterosexual marriage and compulsory child-rearing.

“A man’s job is…” — and in her mind, a man can have no other purpose.

This is the irrational totalitarianism of “insufferable former-addict syndrome” or “abortion-regret syndrome”; i.e. “because I regret my choice, I shall do you the favor of eliminating your ability to choose wrongly.”

Naturally, Maggie can always find the Biblical reason to deny gay people any happiness or comfort, but ignores that same Bible’s insistence she should have been crushed to death with rocks for her failure to be a virgin on her wedding day.

Maggie’s endorsement of Santorum made me recall this H.L. Mencken quote: “There is only one honest impulse at the bottom of Puritanism, and that is the impulse to punish the man with a superior capacity for happiness — to bring him down to the miserable level of ‘good’ men, i.e., of stupid, cowardly, and chronically unhappy men.”

Well-adjusted people don’t interfere in other people’s romances. It requires a person consumed by their own failures to dedicate themselves to ensuring other people’s misery. Yet she won’t find contentment in denying you marriage any more than she has found contentment in food. She’ll only continue getting increasingly grotesque.

I might pity her if she wasn’t such a goddam asshole.

No. 8 · Freddie wrote, “Just vomited at the thought of Slaggie getting wet. Ugh.”

Why? She’s all wet figuratively, so why shouldn’t she be all wet literally? Besides, as many laps in the pool as she can manage each day just might be a start on melting away all that flab. Maybe it would even improve her outlook, so she can have a good time instead of trying to stop others from having a good time.

You ought to be ashamed of yourselves, insulting this woman after she has done more for us gays than any one of you. Her hideous visage probably turned more men and boys gay than all the Playgirl spreads, underwear catalogs and porn films in the world. In fact, I get 10% gayer every time I look at her. Thanks, Maggie, for reminding me why I’m an out loud and proud gay supremacist.
