Magic Johnson’s Wife Says It Was Important For Gay Son E.J. To Know He Had Their Support

ej-johnson“We had already dealt with it years ago, so for us it wasn’t a big deal. A mother kinda knows these things… To me, the most important thing is to let them know that you love them. These kids need that kind of support, they don’t want to be ostracized especially at home with their own families…and why should they be? So it was important for us to make sure that he knew…that we loved him and we supported him 100 percent.”

– Cookie Johnson, wife of basketball legend Magic, speaking about how the couple felt when their son E.J. came out, during an interview with HuffPoLive

Perfect. And, it seems, E.J. is flourishing when so many other gay kids are suffering in the closet.

@Polaro …and how is that his fault? He just happens to be very lucky thats all. I am very happy that he gets to live his life out loud. This is a good thing, lets not turn it into anything negative P.O.L.A.R.O!

I’m glad to learn she was supportive of E.J.

Parents, please support your gay, bi and trans children!
