1. They are lying because noteries don’t “Resign” they just let their licenses lapse. But you folks at NOM, just keep on making stuff up if it makes you feel better.
2. They origionally were telling people to refuse, HOWEVER, comments on multiple blogs, including this one, pointed out that if somebody got fired because NOM said that it was legal to refuse, it opened NOM up to multiple lawsuits by people who had lost income by taking their advice.

Frankly I am surprised they didn’t use the Sandy shootings in their release. They love jumping on the wagon of dead children.
