Christopher McDonald, a twenty-seven-year-old Jamaican-born man in Washington D.C., received a sentence of 120 days in prison after confronting a group of women eating pizza in September, quizzed them about their sexuality, then pulled a knife on them and screamed “if we were in Jamaica I’d shoot you in the face for being gay.” Shoot them … with a knife? Dude’s got bigger problems than some pepperoni-loving dykes.

Hence why I’m FOR selective immigration from selective countries.
Can’t conform to our standards in this country? stay in crime ridden, filthy Jamaica -maHHHHnnnnnnnn.
LOL and in your ‘country’ everyone pulls a knife on each other. Miss your country so much? BUH-BYE busta. Leave ours.

OMG.
well if he was in jamaica he’d probably have a gun on him and not a knife.

Typical DC…he confronts a group of women, armed with a dangerous weapon, threatens them and gets…..120 days. how nice that he will still have some of the summer left when he gets out to go threaten other women…very thoughtful of the courts.

I would really appreciate it if Queerty — in the name of never taking itself too seriously — would establish a page where commenters could post Q headlines where the wording leads the reader to a conclusion quite different than the one intended.
I nominate this header for entry #1.
OK, now it might be just me, but after reading the header, I thought the Jamaican guy pulled a knife on the lesbians because they were eating pizza slices with their hands, rather than cutting it into demure, bite-size pieces and then using a fork to consume the aforementioned food.
So fellow readers, and please let it be so, is there anyone else who leapt to a similar conclusion?
And would such a column be amusing? Or should I just move up my therapist appointment and drop a zannie?
Jon
@zenflo: That is EXACTLY what I read too. Queerty does it all the time. The headlines often have nothing to do with the article or at the very least are misleading. I haven’t decided if they do it on purpose to make readers click on something they normally wouldn’t or if their employees are simply illiterate.
