The Church of Latter-Day Saints does not approve of masculine objectification. Not in their name, at least, which explains why the Mormon church's leaders excommunicated Chad Hardy, the man behind the skintastic calender Men On A Mission.
Though definitely disappointed about being boot from the community, Hardy insists he's not holding a grudge:
"I have no ill feelings toward any of those people," Hardy said of the church council. "They did what they believed was right and I really do feel it was the best decision for both of us."

Hardy said the purpose of the 2008 calendar was not to tear down the church or its 13 million members."The project is about stepping outside the stereotypes and stepping outside of the image," Hardy said. "Not everybody fits the image and I let them know we're not trying to portray an image for the entire church."
Christ, can you imagine if the entire Church looked like the men in the calendar? Mitt Romney would have received our vote for sure!

I have been searching the net but mostly the pictures I see are mocking the requirement.
I once knew a guy who was a good mormon (8 children!!!) but who came out as gay and was excommunicated by the church. He said when they were confronting him with the news of the excommunication that the thing they emphasized was that he could no longer wear the sacred garment, as if this would be the most disturbing aspect of being thrown out of the church (even more than being cut off from his children).
They have to wear the magic underpants so that they are constantly reminded who owns them.

Hello Im a I wish could say ex Mormon but they wont do it. I see nothing wrong with whats hes doing woth the calendar I love to get some of them I get them out I think its a great idea and I feel real sorry for Chad because thers no way the church should of done that at all but that just goes to rpove that the Mormon CHurch is not a true relion and Ive been a member since 1976 and very happy that Im going to a real church more power to CHad and much luck in what he does.
