Several Federal judges have already decided that the Federal DOMA statute, which defines marriage as one-man-one-woman, violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution. What’s even better, the recent judgements are finding that laws that adversely affect gays are subject to strict scrutiny.
When the Federal judgments striking down DOMA and extending strict scrutiny are affirmed by the supreme court, all of the state-level DOMA statutes (and constitutional amendments) go away, too. Maybe not immediately — some process might remain — but certainly.
This will all be over within four more years.
As for the “bloody” comment — In English law, that term is usually intended and taken as a threat of violence. She should apologize and retract, or be held responsible for violence committed by her followers.

Whatever happened to that court decision, I believe it was in Minnesota, ordering NOM to open it’s donor list? Lambda Legal, HRC and others should bring a similar lawsuit to force it to open its books in NYS. Under it’s 501(c)4 tax-exempt status, NOM is required by law to disclose donations of $1000 or more by individuals and by $5000 and above by corporations. To date, it has not done this. Why?

@Dave: I take it as a commentary. Maggot Gallagher is such a proponent of “traditional/Christian marriage.” It’s traditional that the wife takes the name of the husband in this nation. It’s even more prevalent among the Xtians. It is kind of funny how the beast behind NOM is not in a “Christian Marriage.” She also does not take the last name of her spouse. Gregger, taking the last name of one’s spouse isn’t mandatory in a civil marriage. I’m seeing a trend among younger people to keep their former last names. In Spain, the female keeps her maiden name and attaches it to her spouse’s last name, be they male or female. I’m still wondering why nobody has seen Srivastav’s phantom husband. I thought his last name was spelled Srivastava, I may be wrong. Did she have a catholic or a hindu wedding or a civil marriage I wonder, assuming they are married of course?

Scott Rose, Gallagher funds Diaz and other anti-gay hate groups. The major source of her income I believe comes from the roman and mormon cults but we’re still waiting to get our hands on the list of the big donors that she’s failed to provide in compliance with a court order. I hope she and her hate group are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and hopefully shut down her organization for violating a court order. Throw the bitch in jail.
