Marisa Demeo Wins 15-Year Term to Lesbianify the D.C. Superior Court

Marisa Demeo, the lesbian D.C. judge nominated by Obama to the D.C. Superior Court, and the nominee having waited the longest to go before the Senate for a confirmation vote, finally got her chance yesterday — and the Senate approved her in a vote of 66-32, mostly along party lines. Obviously Sen. Jim DeMint, the Republican from South Carolina, and who’s been credited with single-handedly stalling her confirmation, did not cast his vote for her.
