Marriage-Equality Ally! Kristen Bell Won’t Exercise A “Right That’s Denied” To Her BFFs

The reason we’re not rushing to get married is because I don’t feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that’s denied to my best friends. That’s why we’ve been so hesitant. Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We’re just standing up for what we believe in. Period.

Listen, we’re on your side. I recently tweeted about this embarrassing poster that shows how many states where you can marry your same-sex significant other and how many more states where you can marry your cousin. It’s fucking ridiculous.

This is yet more garbage published by The Advocate. I don’t for a minute believe that celebrity Kristin Bell is genuine in her reason for not wanting to get married. In my opinion, it’s just a convenient excuse from a woman who wants to concentrate on her career.

I wish The Advocate would stop publishing garbage like this. The Advocate has become an embarrassment to the gay community and no longer serves it in a way that is productive. The Advocate = crap.

@mark @Mark: Mark, I’m on your side in this tiff, but just a small correction, Kristen Bell didn’t make similar comments to Radar, Perez, Hollywood News, etc. Those blogs, like Queerty, just picked up and reported on Kristen’s comments in The Advocate interview.

But anyway, yes, Jason is an a-hole. If you don’t like or believe a celebrity’s comments, hate on the celebrity – that’s your right. I don’t see how you can get SO FURIOUS with the publication to which those comments were given.
