Martina Navratilova Has Breast Cancer (But A Diagnosis For a Full Recovery)

Martina Navratilova, the tennis star using a lack of gay marriage laws to get a favorable divorce from her ex, revealed this morning she has an “aggressive form of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), considered the earliest form of breast cancer.” She says she has a “great chance” of making a full recovery.
If nothing else, a reminder: Go get your mammograms.
Wishing this tennis legend all the best. Like the true champion she is I’m confident she’ll pull throw this.
It’s very scary however to see someone so athletic and lead a healthy life to get something like this. It goes to show the randomness of the disease called cancer.

Martina is one of the greatest tennis players in history male or female and in my opinion gratest female tennis player ever to walk the earth. At 53 she is still very active and certainly it was a shock to hear she has breast cancer. I wish her a speedy recovery and I encourage all women to get yearly mamograms.
