Mary Glasspool Becomes Gay Episcopal Bishop Today

glasspool

Congratulations to Mary Glasspool, 56, who is being ordained today as a Episcopal bishop, and becomes only the second homosessual — after V. Gene Robinson — to do so. Oh, and she’s also the second lady bishop. [Press Telegram]

It’s a good day for the Episcopal church, as it take another step closer to fallowing that true message of the bible. How ever its a sad day seeing as the Archbishop of Canterbury is still trying to urge the church to put a stop to it for “fear of schism” until they can bring the world Communion together, yet nothing is being done to bring it together and drag the church in the developing world out of the dark ages.

Mary Glasspool is the first lesbian bishop and the second openly gay bishop, but she isn’t nearly the second female bishop in the Episcopal church. Since 1989, there have been at least 15 female bishops including the current Presiding Bishop for the American Episcopal church.
