Matt Barber To Gay Teens: “Take Your Sexual Confusion To Christ”

matt_barber_aYou are being used. Adult homosexual activists with a political agenda are using you as a pawn to achieve selfish goals in a dangerous political game.

You’re just a means to an end.

They may have convinced themselves otherwise, but they don’t care about you. They don’t love you. They can’t. Their version of “love” is built on lies. It’s devoid of truth.

Love without truth is hate.

If you continue down this wide, empty path, make no mistake: it will not “get better.”

It gets much, much worse.

Consider, for instance, that according to the CDC this path will lead you, boys, to a one-in-five chance of contracting HIV/AIDS. The CDC also found that 64 percent of all syphilis cases strike “gay” males and that homosexual behavior leads to astronomical risk of nearly all other forms of STD.

Even more startling is the fact that, according to the International Journal of Epidemiology (IJE), “[L]ife expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men.”

Unnatural behaviors beget natural consequences. “The wages of sin is death.”

But there is hope.

Jesus loves you with a love that no human can fully grasp. This is true not because of your so-called “sexual orientation,” but, rather, it is true in spite of it.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Kids, take your sexual confusion – your struggle with sin – to Christ.

No one else can give you rest.”

Reactionary anti-gay activist and Liberty Counsel attorney Matt Barber, in an open letter to a hypothetical gay teen son, on World Net Daily

“Pray the Gay Away” What a novel idea! I’m surprised nobody ever thought of this simple solution before. Great way to set yourself up as someone who can NEVER EVER measure up to God’s sexual standards.

I don’t understand why you would post something like this. What is the point? It just reinforces self hatred and gives a voice to bigots. Especially to the teens he is talking to. By posting this you are giving his idiotic opinion legitimacy and power. If you choose not to write about this, then you do not add more fuel to the fire. I understand that we need to know that people still vilify us, but by posting this you are spreading it around to more people and keeping that hatred alive. Worse, you offer no rebuttal to his argument. Where is your response? Or anyone else’s for that matter? A more positive way to go would be to post a story in response to his comments. People’s negative reaction to this needs to be shown in order to show us that people, gay and/or straight, won’t stand for this type of speech. We need to build each other up not tear each other down.

I just researched matt barber. Amongst other things, he is a law professor at liberty university. He is an ultra right religious bigot. He plays to the old geezers my age.

All his followers will be dead in another 20 years. No need to worry.

(..and as long as we are talking Liberty U, may jerry falwell continue to rot hit hell!)

Awe, isn’t he so cute sharing his fear-based view of reality so that young-uns learn fear and not love. To those hypothetical gay ones: love, light and a sense of personal freedom are the indicators of who to listen to in this life. Those are the measurements to live up to for a fulfilling, self-loving and caring life.

Dear ones: You are your own unique person. Learn to listen to who God made you because we know that how God made you was perfect, whole and complete. These other talking turkeys are just the ones who won’t get that message and think they know better. They don’t. Listen to you for your own guidance.

I would then sneak into his house and replace all his DVD’s with copies of the hilarious atrocity.

Why?, because it would be awesome.

@stadacona: But it’s far from a reason to argue you can “pray the gay away”. Ever hear of condoms? Gay men’s health would be far better if they would realize what rubber even is. But, alas, a scary percentage of gay men think condoms are only for stopping pregnancies, and that they’re invincible from STD’s.

Isn’t it interesting how self-righteous religious heterosexuals rarely utter a peep today about those old biblical sins of divorce, fornication and adultery as they happily rail against what they hold up today as “the Sin of all Sins”, homosexuality.

Jesus put it very well: “Brood of vipers and hypocrites!”

Jesus is gay. The bible says his beloved is another man, John. It’s sad that merchants have ruined Christianity in much of America – they just make money violating other people’s human rights. Their hypocrisy is staggering.

OH boy, the idiocy and misinformation here is staggering:

Homosexual behavior does not lead to astronomical risk of nearly all forms of STD’s … unsafe and irresponsible sexual practices do.

The life expectancy study quoted was done in the early 1980′s and was in response to the Aids epidemic. It is not even close to that today and in fact GAY and STRAIGHT men have about the same life expectancies when HIV positive men are taken out of the equation.

If the wages of sin was death in the manner being insinuated here then straight men rapist, murderers, liars, adulterers, drinkers, smokers, thieves, covetous, child abusers, etc would be dying at much higher rates then they are.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just do that to all the bigoted christians…make them feel like they accomplished something before they go.

His 1 in 5 gays have hiv or aids claim is pretty bogus too. It is based off of the CDC study that says 2% of the US population is classified as MSM (gay, bisexual or other men who have sex with men) I think we all know that if you add all the gay, bisexual and “straight” men who have sex with men together you could get more then 2% of the population.
