Itâs not the Kiss Cam of the St. Louis Cardinals â itâs Matty Daley and Bobby Cancielloâs attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the longest kiss. Which means they need to lock lips, without separating once, for more than the 32 hours, 7 minutes, 14 seconds that Germans Nikola Matovic and Kristina Reinhart managed in 2009.
We learned about the project of Matty and Bobby â who are just friends, THANKYOUVERYMUCH â in August, but the College of New Jersey students rescheduled their marathon smooch because so many people wanted to watch. Watched part of the Ustream. I thought it was a great idea. Kids on college campuses and in high schools are I think more homophobic than adults. Did you see the video that’s been tweeted around trying to convince gay high school kids not to commit suicide? Some above actually had the nerve to say self-serving. Reallly? Ten years ago this could never have been done. Heck I don’t even think 5 years ago.
