McCain Reaffirms Hispanics’ Humanity

John McCain’s sure is spending his wealth of cash well.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee today released a new ad in Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada in which he praises Hispanic people’s dedication to the American dream, particularly with regard to military service. The audio comes from a Republican primary debate last year.

This is the second ad McCain and his camp have released this week. They previously released “Love,” a thinly veiled attack against Democratic challenger Barack Obama. This fresh advert goes by the patronizing name of “God’s Children.” You mean Hispanic people are the same as white folk?! You’re blowing our minds, McCain!

McCain is blowing Queerty’s mind? Now, that’s a physical impossibility.

Best line?

“Let’s remember, from time to time, that these are still God’s children – ”

We certainly wouldn’t want to keep this in mind all the time. That would be politically inconvenient.

- “but they must come to this country legally.”

Let’s hope Jesus gets a green card if he comes back. We’ll ship that son-of-god back to fucking Mexico if he crossed with out one.

It is grossly unfair to criticize McCain on this one. He was one of the few Repubs to push hard for immigration reform. It has earned him the everlasting scorn of the right-wing dingbats in the GOP. And the Dems let him twist in the wind. Very sad.

He still represents a party that hates Hispanic people (legal or illegal; if you speak Spanish you’re almost as bad as those annoying homosexuals to the Republicans) so this silly ploy for Latino votes (hopefully) will not work.

Delightful words. I almost believed it (nahhh… I didn’t… I felt like gaggin’ up a hair ball).

OK, I’m biased. I worked at a factory with over 500 employees for 18 years. All but a couple of are Hispanic. They have, as a general rule, hearts of gold. Funny, loyal, good-hearted, and fun-loving. And so incredibly industrious. They know how to live. They know how to love. And they know how to smell poo-poo from a mile away.

They don’t buy this horseshit for a second.
