BAD COP, WORSE COP

MD Cop Suspended For Putting Camera In High-School Boy’s Bathroom

cop policeHe’s not quite the “cannibal cop” but a Maryland police officer has been suspended after he was accused of secretly installing a video camera in the boy’s bathroom at Glen Burnie High School.

A male student initially discovered the cam wedged in the top corner of the lavatory and reported it to the principal on Wednesday. “We do not know that the officer’s intentions were,” Lt. T.J. Smith explained. “That’s an important issue that we’re trying to get to the bottom of.”

Gee, maybe he was just trying to capture some of those nasty trans people who are apparently stalking bathrooms.

School officials confirm the surveillance was unauthorized but insist it was an isolated incident: “The principal ordered staff to look at every single bathroom in all of the buildings in Glen Burnie High School, all the locker rooms, all the team rooms, all those places to make sure there were no other cameras, no other recording devices,” said Anne Arundel County Schools Public Information Officer Bob Mosier. “Those sweeps yesterday and this morning turned up nothing.”

Yesterday, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Police told WJZ TV that the officer, whose name is being kept confidential, is on paid leave pending a criminal investigation.
