Meet Kathy Griffin’s Gay for a Day Winner!

When we invited Queerty readers to become Kathy Griffin’s Gay for a Day, we had no idea we’d receive more than 1,100 entries! Offered to chance to fly to Sin City, interview Kathy on the red carpet of her wax figure unveiling at Madame Tussuads Las Vegas, and then catch her show was, apparently, a hot ticket. But there could only be one winner, so after a grueling selection process the prize went to …

Georgia-via-Michigan’s Stephen De Santis, aka vreinev, who submitted this zinger: “God damnit jesus h christ on a cross mary and Joesph I want to be kathy’s gay for a day!”

And so he was! Check out Stephen’s red carpet interview with Kathy — the real and wax versions — above. (Cue to 2:15)

@Ayden:
It’s more than disappointing. It’s appalling that this “zinger” would make him a winner. If it was an attempt to be cute or funny I didn’t read it with a smile on my face.

I’m happy for the winner but his interview was very uncomfortable to watch. I would have asked Kathy about working with Julie Brown when she played Madonna. She actually had some good dance moves.
