Meg Whitman Agrees To Personally Fund Illegal Immigrants

Meg Whitman, California’s $150 million loser, will pay $5,500 to settle a Labor Standards Enforcement claim by her ousted housekeeper of nine years Nicandra Díaz Santillán, who says she was owed back pay when the failed gubernatorial candidate fired her to keep up her image on immigration. The settlement keeps Whitman, who didn’t attend the hearing, from admitting any wrongdoing.

      Ha. Loser. And I it’s nice to see that you can’t always buy your way into things. I mean, Bloomberg did it with NYC but at least Whitman didn’t. Plus I think Whitman is really anti-gay and Bloomberg, not as much.

      @scott ny’er: I imagine if the tea baggers were against ferrets instead of same-sex marriage and immigrants, she would have launched a $140 million dollar advertising campaign against weasels.

      Meg Whitman is pure greed and ambition.

      She didn’t even bother to vote for 28 years.

      In other news from California, Democrat Kamala Harris now leads Republican Steve Cooley by 31,000 votes in the incredibly close Attorney General race out here. There are around 550,000 ballots left to be counted. 350,000 of those votes are from counties which Harris won on election night. Cooley has said he would defend Prop. 8 in federal court regardless of what newly elected Governor Jerry Brown did. Conversely, Harris has pledged to “coordinate” her efforts with the incoming administration. Which points to a united government coming out strongly against Prop. 8 in the Ninth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.

      This is far more important than the antics of not-governor Meg Whitman.

      @John (CA): What?!! 28 yrs. Not even for the President. Now that’s ironic.

      Agreed, political coverage of what you just mentioned is more important than this posting. Good luck out there, I hope Harris wins.

      @scott ny’er: Thank you.

      I know New York is only a couple votes from same-sex marriage as well.

      Hopefully, that will materialize in the next few years.

      Hopefully she’ll be able to start her life over after they deport her.
