Mexico City Wants to Let Gays to Marry And Adopt

In all the excitement yesterday over Mexico City’s 39-20 vote to pass gay marriage legislation (which now head’s to the mayor’s desk), we neglected to mention one other bit of exciting news: lawmakers also approved a bill by a 31-24 vote (with nine abstaining) to legalize adoption by same-sex couples. We regret the omission, but not the news!

YES YES YES!

No wonder Mexico City is known as the “little Europe” of Latin America. Kudos to the progressive party(PRD)in Mexico.

And isn’t it interesting how they were able to achieve such a historic victory without spending the millions of dollars that we spend out here only to have our dreams crushed time and again?

From now on, I’m sending my donations down south.

Why was the adoption vote closer than the marriage one? Ugh.
