There’s life in the old dog yet! (Just not when it comes to hardcore gay porn scenes.)
In the weeks before the premiere of HBO’s Behind the Candelabra—easily the gayest major film of 2013—Michael Douglas and Matt Damon have left nothing to the imagination when it comes to chatting about their gay love scenes.
Earlier this week, Douglas told USA Today about the film’s steamy love sessions between Liberace and Scott Thorson, admitting a close shave was all the preparation he needed. “I didn’t want any whisker burns on the poor guy,” he said.
Though Douglas and Damon were both down with the R-rated lovemaking, Douglas tells New York Magazine that he drew the decency line at penises.

“Liberace loved sex, and I didn’t have a problem with that. But, at one point, Steven Soderbergh wanted to show Lee watching a gay porno. I said ‘I’d like my kids to see this R-rated movie, but I don’t want to show them a 14-inch dick!’ It was the only thing I objected to, so we cut to different parts of the apartment during the porno.”
We understand the importance of shielding the children’s eyes, but come on, Michael. Everyone else watching the film is definitely going to want to see that 14-incher!
And because there’s no such thing as seeing this trailer too many times…..

Casting unknowns or lesser knowns would have been better IMO. Douglass and Damon look like Douglass and Damon in costumes and makeup.
Although Damon is still pretty cute, Douglass has I think, ruined himself with too much plastic surgery.

Seriously I don’t want to see Michael’s penis or nakedness for that matter. I prefer the classier films of yesteryear when you didn’t have to have a naked wang or boobs to make scene sexy.
Btw. I think Michael has nailed Liberace. (Not sexually!). Matt just looks like Matt in a gay costume. 🙂

Typical. Penis–especially gay–is a big no for straight liberals. But violence, naked women, and any other kind of degradation is just fine.

Nudity is not progress, it is not art, it is not daring, it is not modern, it is nudity. That’s all. I don’t see any reason to turn every movie into a locker room. Some of us are not voyeurs.
