Michael Holtz Thinks He Can Beat The Rest Of Gay Mankind At Mr. Gay World Competition

So the Mr. Gay World competition is coming! You didn’t know this, because you didn’t set an annual Google Calendar reminder, but that’s what we’re here for. The contest, hosted this year in Manila March 9-14, is notable this time around for the inclusion of Mr. Curacao Rupert Arrindell, who we’re told is the Caribbean’s first-ever candidate, and the reigning Mr. Gay USA Michael Holtz, the LA-based Equality California staffer who was named Compete‘s “athlete of the year.’ (He’s reportedly the first U.S. entrant in the competition, but, um, last year Brent Douglas Kuennin was in Oslo representing America.) Now the race is on to see who will receive the crown from last year’s Mr. Gay World winner Charl Van Den Berg — and whether they have more fanciful careers than Mr. Van Den Berg’s porn gigs.
