Jacqui Smith actually did something right for once, and it still doesn’t change the fact that many Brits expect her political future to last a matter of days or weeks. The real question right now is whether or not she’ll be kicked out by Brown or with Brown. Savage, on the other hand, will probably continue polluting the airwaves (and thereby the minds of American citizens) for many years to come.

I don’t listen to the man. (I did sporatically in the past, I admit.) He is a hate-monger, no doubt whatsoever. He is deeply troubled. I defend his right to speak under the Constitution AND I defend the right of those who want to pressure/boycott advertisers. That’s the surest way to rock the world of the hate mongers. I always use the “race” and “feminist” criteria set when looking at assholes like Savage. Replace racial and sex based words instead of gay and see how society would react.

The problem with the quotes you are using as evidence of his inciting violence is that they can not be taken seriously.
I’m not saying that they can’t be taken seriously because there aren’t those people out there that subscribe to those views or that Michael does not really want those things to happen, but… honestly, can I just go out and “round em up and hang ’em high” (he was referring to commies) today?
When he encourages terrible things like these, it’s always about how the government should be doing it and it is never feasible for the average Joe to accomplish. If the “Joe” is more than average, I highly doubt Savage persuaded him to do it.

On the other hand, people choose to tune into his show and listen to his opinions and some facts (true or false) about the middle east. If someone can link him to a hate crime, much like when Al Sharpton’s protest killed several Jews in 95, they should take him to court.
