I want to remind you, she came out in favor of gay marriage years ago. When she got some backlash from fans she basically told them to F-off and she didn’t want bigots as fans. For somebody that young, whose career was still on the rise at the time to do that I think deserves a little support back. I’m not really her demo but respect the hell out of her doing that when she didn’t have to.

I am by no means a Miley Cyrus fan (though I did like the acoustic version she did of “Jolene”) but based on what I’ve read and seen she isn’t kidding about being a gay rights advocate. Like many people her age she looks on being anti-gay like older generations looked on racism.

Since when has lesbianism been counter-productive to a woman’s career in the music industry? Ever since early Madonna, women have been faking their interest in women in an attempt to get attention. Katy Perry had a huge no. 1 hit with “I Kissed A Girl” just in case any of you have forgotten.
None of these women are genuine lesbians. Their marketing strategy is to play to the straight guy fantasy for girl-girl action, sort of like what you see in porn. Their schtick is based on appealing to men who make vomiting noises when two guys kiss.
