Milwaukee’s Non-Apology For Shutting Down Naked Boys Singing!

In 2005 the City of Milwaukee, home to that obnoxious emailer, forced closed Naked Boys Singing!, the show where adult men sing for an audience — almost exclusively gay men and bachelortte parties — while nude. Rather than litigate, the city says, it paid out a $20,000 settlement and admitted no wrongdoing. As in: It sooo didn’t violate producers’ First Amendment rights or anything. The original lawsuit asked for $800,000.

I wish the guys in that pic were in the production I saw. Onstage it was Naked Boys Singing, and in the audience it was clothed man vomiting.

2005? Is there a news backlog? Thanks! Looking forward to 2006.

@Michael: The ban was in 2005. The settlement was this week.
