      It has been a massive victory for the moral intelligence of America, they shone when it really counted. We have taken this day and we’ll keep taking them until it is equal.

      You yanks should be proud of your voting. I am very happy. Hopefully we can get some progression here in the UK now.

      Yes Virginia, and Minnesota and the rest of the 48 states, there is a Santa Claus! America is better off with the reelection of President Obama. For the first time in my lifetime we are closer to equal rights for gays in America. Thanks Al Franken and the citizens of your great State. I remember the fine representatives in the past who came before Franken… Hubert Humprhy and Paul Wellstone who always sided with the right side of history.

      Paul Wellstone certainly did NOT “always side with the right side of history.” He was a co-sponsor and “yes” voter on DOMA.
