Mistrial: Deadlocked Jury For John Katehis In George Weber Murder Trial

johnkatehis3

With a single female juror unable (or unwilling) to rule to convict after three days of deliberations in the murder trial of 18-year-old John Katehis (pictured), who’s accused of brutally stabbing to death gay radio man Geroge Weber in New York last year after meeting for sex on Craigslist, the judge declared a mistrial. Katehis, who could be seen dozing off at times during his trial, would have faced 25 years to life. The lone holdout refused to convict because she was not convinced of Katehis’ “intent.”
