Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney lost his cool yesterday.
The Republican popped into a South Carolina Target to speak with reporters when AP correspondent Glen Johnson challenged Romney’s lie: “Lobbyists don’t run my campaign”. Johnson pointed out that lobbyist Ron Kaufman not only helps strategize policy and debate, but sits in on key campaign meetings. That, he said, proves that a lobbyist is in the upper echelons of the campaign. Romney wouldn’t budge, however, and gets frightfully angry. “Listen to my words,” he says, as if simply uttering something makes it true.
What a schmuck.

Shitt is parsing the word “run.” A little clue as to the kind of president he would be.

Mitten the Kitten has made billions from buying up struggling American companies and selling them off bit by bit and sending jobs to the third world. Corporate America pulls this puppet’s strings.

He’s pretty much universally scorned by most of the people in massachusetts.

You guys are a little sloppy with facts–it was a Staples store not a Target. Not that that makes what happened any different, but it does add up when you can’t even get a small detail like that straight

thatguyfromboston: I’ve always wondered about that–how’d this nutjob get elected ya’ll’s governor in the first place? I mean, SOMEBODY over there must’ve not scorned him…

I hope that all of the conservative media will run this. He looks like undertaker.

ee.em.bee, Mittens ran against a very corrupt, very inept (she ran her campaign like Britney Spears would) state legislator named Shannon O’Brien at a time when people weren’t too happy with the legislature (the Dems here control 87% of both houses so you can imagine how that leads to a corruption scandal or two occasionally.) He also ran as a fiscally responsible social liberal (which he probably still is…who knows with this freak?) to fool my fellow Baystaters and even with all that, he won with only 50% of the vote. And trust me…you won’t find one person who’ll admit to voting for him nowadays. The Legislature overrode whatever they wanted to and he thankfully spent a good portion of his time as Governor out of state. His only legacy was making the most Liberal state in the country into a completely toxic environment for Republicans.
