Mitt Romney’s A Hard On

Former Massachusetts govenor Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wants you to know that he’s the toughest, hardest, most prickalicious presidential candidate out there. Or so this new campaign commercial promises – minus the “prickalicious” part, although such a word suits both this advert’s tone and the man himself.

(Thanks, Bloggernista!)

In Massachusetts, he ran as a moderate. Now, he’s running as a right-wing douche to pander to the GOP base. It’s fun watching the religious right implode.

Say what you will, but frankly, if Mitt Romney doesn’t become the NEXT u.s. president, private American freedom & enterprise will slip longly onto the hands of the government, and u.s. citizens will be ever more enslaved to debt and dissatisfaction.

Romney is among the most highly qualified of presidential candidates we have seen in decades. His skills, experience and accomplishments exceed that of all other contenders and are on par with what will be expected of him as the next president of the United States.

Romney comes up with more than just sound bites,.. he’s got some great logic behind what he’s saying. I still don’t know a whole lot about him, but I’m actually impressed.

Mitt Rommney ran in Massachusetts as a moderate, and proved to be anything but that, he openly campaigned against any and all gay causes, his opposition against gay marriage should put him in the same historical context as Gov. George Wallace.
His claim that he lowered expenses and taxes is an outright lie, he raised all non tax fees and shifted a lot of the tax burden from the State to Cities and Towns, creating a crisis in education funding across the state. As a resident of Mass. I have NO use for Mitt.

As a resident of Massachusetts, I have experienced Mitt Romney’s disastrous tenure as Governor first hand. He accomplished his no new taxes pledge by drastically cutting local aid to cities and towns. Most of the aid went towards funding STATE MANDATED educational programs. This left cities and towns across the Commonwealth scrambling to pay for huge budget deficits. Like dozens of others, my town has faced three consecutive proposition 2 1/2 overrides to raise property taxes. He also raised every state license/permit/fee, making doing business here a lot more expensive. What’s the difference whether you call it a tax or fee? Mitt Romney ran as the “jobs” Governor. Well, companies like Gillette have fled this state like rats from a sinking ship. During his term, we have lost tens of thousands of jobs. This is Mitt Romney’s legacy. Our property taxes are through the roof, the roads and highways are a mess, the Big Dig is a black hole of mismanagement, and there is no money. I can only imagine the damage he would do as president. Take the time to see through the well-groomed photo opps and scripted sound bites, he is a phoney!

Joe I don’t know who the 16 people were that you talked to are, they mustn’t be lgbt in Mass. Mitt Rommney was a horrible governor for our community, and for the most part not good for Mass. I would guess that they are 16 closeted gay republicans, they are the ones not happy now, Gov. Patrick actually supports us.
It must suck to be conservative and miserable.way to go John

The liberal ideal is that tax payers (everyone else) should be paying your bills. I’m not looking forward to a socialist country and neither should you. So the cut of aid, and shifting tax burden arguments aren’t flying with me one bit. Massachusetts has among the top performing schools in the nation because of Romney’s actions despite John Kerry’s babblings.

“Free of an agenda except that gay one” I don’t believe Gov. Rommney should get any space on this blog other than to say he is an enemy to the gay community, I don’t personally care if you are a wealthy republican closet case, remember the republican party really isn’t a big tent when it comes to gay issues. Rommney was not a good Gov. as the latest news showed a 600 million $ mistake in excise taxes. Rommney started campaign for a new office even before he was sworn in, I’m glad he is gone.
