I wish people would leave the word desperate out of it. Mitt Romney has so far WON the popular vote, not even counting Wyoming, where he won 70% of the votes.

Mitt has the most delegates, the most popular votes, is the best financed for competing with Hillary and Obama, and actually has solutions that make sense for America on everything from the economy to health care to immigration. EVERYTHING. This man is brilliant, and where he has not been right, he has learned quickly.

I can think of no man I would prefer as America’s chief executive.

I remember George Romney, that’s how old I am. He was a serious contender until he changed his mind about the Vietnam War, saying that he had previously received a brainwashing by the Pentagon. This was re-shaped into “I was brainwashed.” The word “brainwashed” was in all the talk shows and editorials, and I recall one radio newsman called him George I-Was-Brainwashed Romney. Actually, Romney was absolutely right. Those running the war would publicly swear the US was winning in Vietnam. Privately, they knew it was unwinnable.

I think George Romney served from 1963-69.

It’s funny that despite a total decimation of manufacturing jobs and the downward spiral of living wages, the only thing that matters to Michigan republicans are the rights of the unborn.
