Josh Thomson is the latest Mixed Martial Arts fighter to express his backward views about gay marriage. Following the suspension of fellow MMA fighter Matt Mitrone for hurling hate speech at trans fighter Fallon Fox back in April, Thomson took to his Facebook page this week to ask the question “Should you be allowed to marry whoever you want? Before you answer that, should u be allowed to have more than 1 wife?”
As expected, the responses to his question were more than critical.
I’m only asking a question. My next question is, should siblings be allowed to marry siblings? My point is, where do you draw the line? I personally don’t care who you marry but I also am smart enough to know that it opens a gateway to men/women trying to marry young kids, siblings marrying each other and people having multiple husbands and wives. You have to think all of these things are okay otherwise your stopping them from being happy as well which is hypocrisy. Equality doesn’t stop with gay marriage, it just starts with it.
Why are these guys so angry all the time? You’d think they’d have the sense to leave their aggressions in the ring. It’s a shame—he could have been such a dreamboat if he weren’t such a massive douche.
