Hit man Robert Mormando, a killer-cum-government informant, yesterday told a judge that he was giving up his crime life with La Cosa Nostra. Oh, and he’s gay. NYDN:”Mormando, 44, a divorced father of two sons, was being sentenced for participating in the shooting of Queens bagel store owner Angelo Mugnolo, who was wounded in the driveway of his Howard Beach home in 2003. The rubout was ordered by Vincent Gotti, the younger brother of late crime boss John Gotti, who suspected the baker was fooling around with his wife. Mormando became a government informant shortly after the shooting. He did not have have to testify against accomplices Vincent Gotti, his nephew Richard Gotti and Angelo Ruggiero Jr., because they pleaded guilty to murder conspiracy charges last year. Sources said Mormando’s cooperation was kept a closely guarded secret until he came out Monday.” How very Vito Spatafore of him. Mormando’s partner, meanwhile, has refused to enter witness protection.

Saying “pleaded” makes you sound stupid. And don’t tell me that all the other news anchors are doing it. If they jumped off a 30 story building would you do that too? You remind of the kids I work with who keep saying “I seen him do it.”
he pled guilty. so much easier and simple. and correct. i checked.
pleaded is also correct, but i hate the sound of it.
Kind of a cool story. It’s nice to know that gay people can be in a lot of professions. I wouldn’t think that it’s wise fro his partner to not go into witness protection
@Ricky…speaking of homos…..you may not like the sound of pleaded, because as a homophone, it can also be pleated.
