More Gay Hate At Georgetown
Georgetown University’s rapidly becoming one of the most anti-gay campuses! Less than a month coppers nabbed Bush family friend Philip Cooney, there’s news of another homophobic incident. The DC-based college sent an email this morning notifying students and staffers that two men assaulted a gay student last weekend. Yes, they sent the email five days after the fact. That’s just their style.
Luckily, the incident doesn’t sound that dangerous:
Two unknown persons assaulted and made homophobic remarks to a complainant at 2:34 a.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007.A complainant reported to DPS that at approximately 2:34 a.m., he was approached by two unknown males as he walked up Lauinger library steps. The suspects made homophobic remarks and followed the complainant to the Healy building. The suspects pushed the complainant into the side of the building and blew smoke in his face.
Not too serious, but still a bit disturbing. Second hand smoke kills!
And remarkably enough, I just received a public safety announcement about an unknown person being seen in a building this morning.
The contrast is so glaring.

Girl please, it’s obvious that a random brother on campus is a greater threat to Georgetown than two raging white homophobes.
Georgetown University, a Catholic religious order university, is the alma mater of Bill Clinton, who remained Southern Baptist.
Yes, the Roman Catholic Church is now led by the most virulent self-loathing homophobic uberconservative since Pius X, a canonised anti-modernist, held the papacy a century ago, and silenced all liberal opposition in his Church.
Why however, would self-respecting gay men or women chose to attend institutions of higher learning who are homophobic and teach self-hate theologically – a requirement for degrees in any Catholic institution.
