Morning Aural: Army Of Lovers

A lovely reader suggested we post Swedish band Army of Lovers and their 1991 hit, “Crucified”. We readily agreed! Not only do we have a sick love for this track, but lead singer Alexander Bard once worked as both a male prostitute and as a published media theorist, which reminds us of ourselves – except we don’t have sex for money. Also, the video’s ridiculous and we remember finding it quite alluring back in the day.

We’ve also included the equally ridiculous “King Midas,” after the jump…

Second only to “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” as the best dance song ever!

You have just made my afternoon! “Crucified” totally reminds me of the old Uncle Charlies bar on Greenwich Ave. in NYC (it’s now some straight Irish pub). They played this video about 10 times a night – for about 4 years!
