The sound is very derivative. The Go! Team did it first. (I wonder why lots of bands are mining early sixties sounds right now…? It might mean we are scared shitless about where things are going.)

Sure the Black Kids are derivative, but what groups aren’t in this day and age? Fun pop song and I wish them lots of success! It’s got that young, summer feeling all wrapped up in a catchy hook.
