Morning Aural: Broadcast

British electronic music outfit Broadcast doesn’t get the attention they deserve. Sure, they sort of sucked when they first emerged as a quintet way back in 1997, but they’ve since trimmed the fat, leaving Trish Keenan on vocals and James Cargill on bass and engineering. The result? A sleek, sinister sound perfectly suited for those looking for a little extra energy in their electronica. But, don’t take our word for it – let this video for “Black Cat” from 2005′s Tender Buttons do the talking…

I love this album. Might be one of my faves from them, though the Pendulum EP is pretty fuckin’ hard to beat. Never seen the video, though. Thanks for that. Looking forward to a new Broadcast soon. Word from their manager is that they’re in the studio at this very moment. Yay!

Also, if I haven’t told you before now, Queerty… I love you so much I wanna take you behind the middle school and get you pregnant. Thank you for being [for me] the one queer portal that doesn’t expect everyone of us in the great rainbow army [of butt pirates] to be the same color.
