Morning Aural: Irene Cara

Let’s get this week started right with a little aural love from Irene Cara, the woman who brought us “Fame” and “What A Feeling,” the theme from Flashdance. While those are both great songs – and included after the jump – we’d like to focus on “Thunder in My Heart”. The beat! The emotion! The trippy, pre-digital effects! Brilliant on every level. Seizure inducing, yes, but brilliant none-the-less.

(Not the giant gold “Irene”. Now that’s fame.)

As much as I enjoy a Irene Cara tune every so ofter I wasnt prepared for this… I dont even know what that was and being a Visual artist and someone who can appreciate the gaudiness of the decade this video was made…. it STILL made me stick to my tummy.

But good Fun as always A.B.

Always great to see or hear Irene Cara, she is a STAR. Plus she is gearing up for a comeback, with better videos besides I am sure some chumps dressed this video up.
