Morning Aural: Jason Donovan

Stumped for this morning's aural, we asked two Australian friends to recommend some hot hits from down under.

They first offered Silverchair, which our editor vetoed immediately. Not discouraged, the men both suggested the "tragic" Jason Donovan. Tragic doesn't even begin to describe this hot mess, "Nothing Can Divide Us," which we adore for its unabashed shittiness.

By now, one would think there was a computer program in which you can input raw data and it spits out regurgitated loops, chords, and cliched phrases – oh, wait… that's most of the producers working today. I guess they are a little like robots.

What's wrong with Silverchair? They're quite good now.

Jason Donovan played Kylie Minogue's boyfriend on the Aussie soap "Neighbours" and then later in real life was her boyfriend. He also recorded a duet with Kylie called "Especially For You."

He's currently starring in a UK TV show called "Echo Beach," a California "O.C."-inspired teen surfer soap that takes place in Wales, of all places. And he's occasionally on its sister TV show "Moving Wallpaper," which is a hilarious comedy about the behind the scenes fictional writers of the "Echo Beach" TV show.

Maybe you guys already posted it before but I recommend "Street Jizz" by SSION. Or any of their videos, for that matter, found on youtube.

Yeah, but you don't see bulges like that just every day anymore.

As Aretha asked, "How'd you get your pants so tight??"
