Swedish pop rocker Jens Lekman most often gets compared to Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields fame. And rightfully so: both men employ their sonorous rhythms to laud – and lament – love. Where Merritt’s work seems to revel in self-pity, Lekman’s soars to celebratory heights, as you’ll see here in “You Are The Light (By Which I Travel into This and That)” from 2004’s When I Said I Wanted to Be Your Dog.

Jens Lekman is a god! Your “Morning Aurals” always get me off 😉
If you want more, I’ve got a nifty Jens track called “Hultsfred ’98” over on my blog, Future Shipwreck.
