This is Kermit the Frog, here performing LCD Soundsystem’s “New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down.” It’s not an official Muppets video like Weezer’s “Keep Fishin’” video, but the fan-created rawness makes it all the more adorable.
Alas, the overlords of music protection have taken it down.
Goes to show that no matter how “alternative” you claim to be as a band/musician, if you go commercial someone else controls how your music is distributed.
In the punk rock community I grew up in, this was well-known and going “mersh” was selling out yourselves, your fans, and the scene. Nothing has changed.
