Morning Aural: Martin Solveig

Listening to “Rejection,” it’s easy to imagine French DJ Martin Solveig singing in a choir. That said, it should come as no surprise that it’s in a church choir that Solveig got his start. As his teen years went on, however, Solveig decided to give up his classical roots and head into the electronic era.

Thus, the now 31-year old track maker picked up his turn tables and set up shop in France’s nightclubs before laying down tracks for his debut, Sur la Terre. Since then, Solveig’s gone on to release four albums and a number of singles, including the aforementioned “Rejection”.

If you like what you hear – and you will – then jump on down and listen to “Jealousy” and “Something Better”.
