Soul singer Otis Redding had a knack for starting slow and ending fast and hard – something we should all take to – um – heart after listening to this live version of “Try A Little Tenderness.”

One of the greatest performers of all time. Sad he died so young. If you’re into some more emotionality from the same concert, “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” is a must see.

As for the funky soul, “Shake” from this show is off the charts good.
