Morning Aural: Ray Lamontagne

Because Mondays aren’t hairy enough, it’s a fucking monsoon here in New York City! If it weren’t for the sweet sounds of Ray Lamontagne, we’d be bonkers by now. The New Hampshire native’s second album, Till The Sun Turns Black, has been in heavy rotation over the past few days, but we’ve still got a soft spot for his 2004 debut, Trouble.

Above you’ll see the video for that album’s titular single. After the jump, the first track from Till The Sun Turns Black, “Be Here Now”. We’re not sure it’s official, but it’s gorgeous – the perfect way to keep your cool as the Monday madness continues…

It’s monsooning in New York because Monday’s aren’t hairy? I don’t get that first sentence.

I just moved up from Florida this weekend. It was really funny to see everyone freaking out over the drizzle that’s been sifting down to the city. Monsoon indeed.

The music is great. I especially like the second song.

Thanks for posting my video. It is definitely unofficial. I have been shocked at the overwhelming response to it. Sometimes I wonder if the heterosexual community even realize the video is about two gay guys. I am glad it is finally gonna get some queer viewers….so thanks :)
