One of those rare cases where Leaving Motown totally rejuvenated a stagnating career. When the Spinners crossed paths with Philadelphia's Thom Bell it was a musical marriage made in heaven, good for several outstanding albums, and a string of astonishingly good singles that ran at least half a decade. "Falling in Love" was the second in a marvelous run. It was a terrific time to be a gay young man in his 20s. :)
