"normal" men have hair on their bodies.

@timncguy:

I'm 28 and I do not. My bf is 21 and he does (a little). My best friend (straight) does and he's 29.

I guess I'm abnormal!

@Mark.of.Antares: Me, neither (26). It varies among the men I know, I think hairlessness is relatively rare.

@timncguy: Obviously you only said this so someone could tell you what an idiot you are. So I'll satisfy you: You're an idiot.

@timncguy – my partner is 99% hairless and it causes him great unhappiness. :)
@queerty – "normal" people usually don't have such physiques as this model.

I'd say hairlessness is less common among white men, and more common among minority (Hispanic, black, Asian) men. Just an observation.

Oh yea, this one gets a stamp of approval.

OK, there are normal men without hair on their bodies too. But, you MUST ADMIT that the men pictured on this site do not accurately represent the ratio of hairy versus "naturally" smooth men as they occur in nature. I would take a guess that the majority of "smooth" bodied men that appear on this site are not "naturally" smooth.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with hairless men. But, couldn't this site provide a wider variety for those who appreciate men with body hair?

This is such a stupid non-issue. Some of us (like me) prefer bare skin on our men (at least when it comes to chests, backs and asses), some prefer a moderate amount of hair, and others prefer Chewbacca. Is there really a right-or-wrong here?

@Adam Sank: No right or wrong, but guys who are naturally hairless might be a tad bit offended by the "normal" remark.

@Alec:

I'm not offended. I'm hurt and feeling discriminated against. And a little angry.

But I'm not offended.

Understood. And for the record, I am hairless a lot of the time, but it sure as hell ain't natural, as my electric clipper will attest.

@Adam Sank: Yeah, I depilitate. I prefer being hairless. That said, I have very often found hairy guys very sexy. Except back hair – I draw the line there. But I don't anybody down who likes it!

He would be better if he wasn't hairless but thanks for posting a guy I'd actually want to f*ck!

While you all argue about body hair, I can't help but wonder what posting random shirtless pictures of some hot guy has anything to do with this site. It seems everything on here is pretty intellectual other than these goofy pieces. In my opinion, these teeny bopper posts hurt the queerty "brand".

Brian's pretty cute and not a bad body. I think it's funny that nobody is commenting on him and just about having hair or not, and throwing insults around. Most men, younger guys don't look like this and that's why we look (fantasy). I'm in my 30's and have some chest hair but I have fine hair in general. I'm just glad there weren't 25 pics to 'click' thru (annoying).

Oh, I disagree. I think it's completely appropriate that this site feature gratuitious male flesh among the political, social and pop culture commentary.

We are, after all, gay men. And as high-minded and sophisticated as we may like to come off, most of us are pigs at heart.

I've watched "The Advocate" evolve over the years from what was clearly a gay men's magazine — complete with sleaze — to something meant to appeal to gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, transgender people, people with AIDS, people without AIDS, and so on and so on and so on. The end result is an incredibly bland, watered down omnibus of "queer studies" topics that appeals to no one in particular.

You can't be all things to all people, and I've always appreciated the fact that Queerty knows where its readership lives.

Regular men are not models!

@Elijahhue: @Elijahhue: Very true. And its the imperfections of regular men that make them sexy. Nothing wrong with working out, keeping toned and fit. But this idolizing men who are always perfectly proportioned, have the correct nipple circumference, etc. etc. is like fantasizing about fucking a Ken doll. I think Queerty should have a "real man" feature every day where they let guys send in their non-professional photo's, they can be imaginative and such but not professional, and select some for viewing. It could be really fun and interesting.

And if they do allow that Hateful people will not be lenient on a regular guy. For some reason people have to knock down, or put you up on a pedestal. Hard to find people to just give you a compliment honestly. lol Good luck with that request.

i have no hair on my chest, stomach, ass, back… and barely have any hair on my arms and legs. it takes me three days to get a decent five-o'clock shadow and i will never be able to grow a goatee because i can't grow hair on the sides of my mouth.

the point is that i'm who i am, and on occasion i have to endure this Queerty-board onslaught of guys bitching about HAIR HAIR HAIR… and i'm like… "thanks guys… thanks for being so fucking stunted and narrow-minded to only have ONE concept as to what is considered attractive."

if a guy works out and jogs a lot, he's considered to skinny. if a guy is hairless, he's not considered a 'real man'. if a guy has a baby-face, anyone looking at him is considered a pedophile. if he's 'all american', he's considered boring.

there is never any winning with this.

if you want more hair, email the editor and ask politely. you shouldn't have to wait long, Queerty does keep a good variety going on.

this is setting such a poor fucking example to all the younger guys coming out… those that are ALREADY sensitive about body image, etc.
