I meant no disrespect to those of you with red crushed velvet fetishes. I respect you as fully functioning members of gay subculture, even if you can only afford the laughably inferior polyester/acetate blends instead of the luxuriously fabulous, pure silk velvet that any true, self-respecting queen would have hand-rolled and used in lieu of toilet paper at all of her intimate soirées. I’m sure in your financial circumstances the polyester blend is much more practical since it’s washable.
